About Us
History
Founded in July 2005, Big Daddy Conch, Inc. is the brainchild of Donzel Leggett, of Bahamian descent born and raised in Key West FL, and Ramon Carrillo, of Puerto Rican Descent born and raised in New York City, NY. Proud of their tropical heritage and style, and seeing that there wasn’t a quality brand targeting their culture, these best friends decided to create THE quintessential Island Brand. Big Daddy Conch fuses Caribbean heritage and style with urban trends to produce the most uniquely cool tropical products.
Ramon and Donzel have known each other for over 15 years. They are Compadres.
Big Daddy Conch Enterprises is not just a business, BDC is a family in
the truest sense.
The Real Beginning
The Big Daddy Conch name is actually the nickname given to co-founder Donzel Leggett by his best friend Ramon when he made his Island favorites conch salad and his sister’s renowned conch fritters for Ramon and some of his Purdue University football teammates. The food was a hit, when suddenly Ramon exclaimed “Donzel you always wear that gold conch necklace so I’m going to start calling you Big Daddy Conch”!
The catchy name stuck and the rest is history.

The company vision is for Big Daddy Conch to become THE #1 Island Brand in the world. Our objective is to have Big Daddy Conch be first to mind when you think of tropical, island themed products. Big Daddy Conch will be THE Island Brand.
